Conditions · Anxiety & nervous system

You’re not imagining it. Your nervous system is stuck on.

You’ve probably already tried…

Breathing exercises. Therapy that helped, until it didn’t. Medication that dulled the edges and brought its own problems. Being told it’s “just stress.” If you’re here, you suspect the alarm isn’t in your head — it’s in your body.

What we do differently

Polyvagal theory explains what you feel: a nervous system parked in fight-or-flight, or shut down entirely. Vagus nerve care and the MacDonald Safety Corridor Protocol give the body cues of safety it can actually register. QNRT — not talk therapy — finds and resets the unresolved event still driving the stress response. Neurofeedback and brain training help the brain hold the calm once it finds it. Many patients find relief without depending on medication.

Three states, not two

The autonomic nervous system has three settings, not two. Ventral vagal is safety: clear thinking, easy breathing, good digestion. Sympathetic is fight-or-flight: racing heart, tight muscles, racing thoughts — many people live here without knowing it. Dorsal vagal is shutdown: fatigue, numbness, brain fog, feeling stuck. Anxiety is usually the first; the crash that follows a long spell of it is the third.

Our job is to move you back to the first setting and help your body stay there. That is the foundation everything else — sleep, digestion, energy — is built on.

What the first visit looks like for this

It is one real hour. Your history first — what you have tried, what helped, what did not. Then the HIDN® exam: hormonal, immune, detoxification and neurological function looked at together, plus a gentle structural exam. You leave with a plain-English explanation of what we would test and why. Nothing is sold at visit one; the plan comes at your Report of Findings. For anxiety we pay particular attention to heart-rate variability, breathing pattern and muscle tone — the body’s own readout of which nervous-system state it is in — and to whether an EEG brain map or a QNRT evaluation belongs in your plan.

Questions people ask

Is this a replacement for therapy or medication?

No, and we will not ask you to stop anything your prescriber has you on. This is care for the nervous system itself — the body side of anxiety that talk therapy and medication do not directly reach. Many patients do find that as their nervous system settles they need less support; that conversation belongs with you and your prescriber.

What is QNRT and is it talk therapy?

QNRT — Quantum Neurological Reset Therapy — is not talk therapy. A protocol of neurological tests and specific points on the head and body identifies the unresolved event still driving your stress response and resets its effect. Every patient completes an evaluation visit first, so we know it is the right program at the right time for you.

Do you see teenagers with anxiety?

Yes. Dr. Cassie has a particular focus on families, children and teens, and the gentle instrument adjusting we use suits young patients well. Parents are welcome in the room.
